The Leamington Spa based Charity was set up in 2014 in Pam’s memory to support those living with a Dementia diagnosis and their family Carer/s within South Warwickshire. Key areas of our work focus around initiating and setting up community support groups, providing free activities, music, friendship, carer information and fun, all provided by wonderful trained volunteers.
The Stour Toy Library is the initiative of the Stour Health and Wellbeing Partnership, a charity based in Shipston on Stour and covering the surrounding area.
A Toy Library is a fantastic resource for families of pre-school aged children, it works on a loan system in the same way as a book library.
The Stour Toy Library will serve families with children of three years and under and is based at St Edmund's Church, Shipston on Stour on Mondays (except Bank Holidays) between 2pm and 3pm.
VASA enables older and vulnerable people to make friends and live independently through social accessible activities, carer and dementia support and to access vital medical services and support through its community door to door transport services. Our services are volunteer led – changing lives by connecting communities.
Warwickshire Community and Voluntary Action have provided free partnership/charity development advice/work, funding identification and application support since becoming involved in January 2020. Funding for the role that supported SHWP was via Warwickshire County Council and Stratford On Avon District Council's Social Inclusion Partnership. Stour voluntary or community groups who also want support or advice are advised to contact chrisfreeman@wcava.org.uk or access support via https://www.wcava.org.uk/
