Care and Support

Age Concern Shipston and District has been in existence for many years. The Trustees decided not to become a part of Age UK when a merger was proposed but remain independent as a Friend of Age UK.
This gives the Charity control of its own programmes and finances. There is a board of Trustees that oversee the Charity, which currently runs 3 Lunch Clubs in the Town each week. It also arranges trips out during the spring and summer months.

Shipston SCAN brings older people together socially while also keeping them informed on topics through a range of speakers, signposting them to local support services and campaigning on local issues.
